Some great video footage of the Cfox fishing derby. A boat, a remote control heli, a gopro and some talented editing = fantastic footage.  Already working on Ohara to come on the next guys fishing trip to make us one of these cool clips.

Although no fish were landed on Thanksgiving Monday, it was a still an unbelievable adventure.

Maybe no fish but the snakes and grasshoppers were out.

Cant remember the last time the Thompson was open in October but managed to take advantage of this and hit it with my two uncles and cousins on Thanksgiving Monday.

Didn’t land any fish but Braden hooked one at Borax Hole. Most fish reported caught at Nicola.

October 19th, hit the Thompson again with Scott and Doug. Got to Nicola at 5:30AM and started to show the newbies how to fish for steelhead.

Three casts later with only the moon’s brightness as our only light source, I hooked into a nice steelie.

By 9am the three of us touch 12 steelhead landing 5 (2 for Scott although one shook off at the beach, two for Higo with one shaking off when the leader was grabbed and 1 for Doug) long with some nice trout.

Hit a few more holes in the lower part of the river but nothing. Overall one of the best days on the Thompson with great guys, excellent weather and awesome fishing.

Gott Like the bent rod. Good thing the big one was caught on the one piece rod and not the two piece.

First fish…6.5-7 ft long. Second fish hooked and landed by shannon…although the guys got to help reel in the big one.  The fish came in at just under eight ft in length.

NOTE: SHANNON HOOKED TH BIG ONE ON HER OWN AND TO DATE HAS HOOKED AND LANDED THE LARGEST FISH ON THE BOAT!

Pinks, sturgeon, two boats and great weather. Doesn’t get much better!

Last night hit the river for a couple of hours. Once again lots of bites and the one big one hit minutes before going home.
