This year is the 20th fishing derby. An email has been sent to all 28 guys that are planning on coming this year.

Today weather was brutal as the wind made fishing almost impossible. Found a somewhat secluded bay and threw out some recently tied burgandy pumpkin head micro leeches. This seemed to do the trick as we landed six nice fish from 2-4 lbs on our day two of the season. Looking forward to the next trip.

Heads to the Merritt area today and we managed to hook into three. This beauty being the nicest of the fish. A big chironomid hatch was happening so this eRlybseOn fish was tricked with a size 16-18 brown chronies.

Heading out again to see if we can get some better numbers. Stay tuned.

Some old richmond buddies with an exotic report. Still waiting for the invite Brent!  Not exactly sure what these fish are but they look like drum fish and red fish?

Entered a local sturgeon derby. Overall fishing was slow with only four fish caught and two of those fish from my boat with a five foot and a 4.7ft landed. Unfortunately for the other teams, the two other fish from two other boats were disqualified.  This meant our boat would take first second and third prize money instead of just first and third. Overall a slow day but still a good time. Thanks to the organizers. More pics will be posted later.  

One over six and one four footer. Beautiful day.still amazes me that this can be done in my own backyard.

Another great week of fishing. Gotta love Vancouver. Next weekend ….sturgeon fishing on the Fraser.
