Bob’s first
8 01 2011On this trip in December 2009, Bob got his first Thompson Steelie. Kirby lost two, Bob lost another one and one other Steelhead was landed.

Yes we have caught fish on the Skagit River, Washington
8 01 2011Ok 2010 was not very successful but if we go back to 2008…
Scooter caught one wild steelhead, Kirby caught a couple of dollies and Higo landed a chrome chum in December, one whitefish, several dollies and lost three steelies.
Note: Harrington absent and no one is wearing a huge blue tarp for a poncho!

Skagit River Fishing Dec 2010
8 01 2011Steelhead trip on the Skagit River Washington. No steelhead were caught. Only five big dollies. Some argued it was the poor weather that caused the poor fishing, others said it was the bait we were using but most agree Harrington’s big blue poncho probably scared all the fish away.
By the way…who goes winter steelheading without a waterproof jacket!…Harington!

Monster rainbow
8 01 2011Gordo with yet another monster rainbow caught somewhere in BC at another secret lake. We are starting to think Gordo is just catching the same fish that he has been growing in his backyard pond!

Roche Lake 2010
8 01 2011Scooter with a ripe rainbow caught chironomid fishing on Roche Lake.
Note: this fish was not counted in the derby. Witness report that the trout was bought at Safeway and just hidden in Matsumura’s toque.
