This blog is about sharing the fishing stories, pictures and adventures of the past and present.
Although most adventures will take in British Columbia, hopefully, some will venture further away to exotic and remote fishing areas.
Grew up in Steveston and fished most of my childhood on the Fraser at Garry Point.

Hey bud. I have been out fishing twice in the last couple of weeks on lakes around Nanaimo. Nothing really to show for it but hey I cant complain when I can get out in January.. Let me know when your planning to hit the island and we can hook up or better yet lets plan a trip sometime this year. On another note I am planning to do an early couple day trip to the interior (around ice-off) let me know if you want to join me. O ya, check this out and let me know what you think:

Take care.

Let me know if you have any trips planned for the island and i will see if i can join you. When its ice off in the interior let me know and we will go out.
Thats a killer dragon. Will have to try that one out. I usually use the fat darners with leaded eyes. Seems to work for me but i like the colour of the one in the forum.
Take care and keep in touch.
Will do for sure. I was out today and did well. Nothing big but lots. If you want me to tie you a couple of those up let me know.
Cheers
Terry
Hi Higo
Spent the weekend up at Salmon Lake. The weather was terrible, I got hypothermic on Saturday out on the lake, and fishing was impossible. The lake has SO many shrimp in it, it was difficult to get any to bite. Monday the weather cleared enough to fish chironomids. No luck with a #10 black with red ribs and gold bead head (which is what was recommended by the owners). So, I caught an emerging chironomid and tried to match as best as possible (#10 hook, green body, white bead head with gold wire ribs). For the next 3 hours I boated 6 fish and hooked into a dozen. Nothing more than 1-1/2 to 2 pounds, but some very good fights!!
