I have said this many times but it’s true. British Columbia is an amazing place for fishing. This weekend I spent a couple of days fly fishing for rainbows on St’at’Inc territory. Landed around two dozen beautiful bows in this beautiful territory. Aside from fishing we saw a dozen deer, woodpecker, whooping crane, osprey, bald eagles, loons, beaver, frogs, a snake and an otter.

Meanwhile on the same weekend in the maritimes my aunt and uncle landed a couple of nice stripers.

And on the same weekend Kirby was fishing in Northern Manitoba catching what’s sounds like hundreds of walleye and pike over a few days.

While in the Kamloops region the Bcflytieguys were nailing some nice bows on two different lakes on chironomid and mayfly nymphs.

While back in the hood, yet on the same weekend, Scooter and Cherry man were fishing one of the last days of a 20 million pink run on the Fraser and managed to land a nice coho while doing so.

There is the proof. Although not all fish were caught on the fly…here is the evidence why fly fisher people across BC and Canada have to be so grateful to live in such an amazing place where we can catch a variety of different fish species all year round in an amazing environment.
Thanks to friends and family for sharing photos and reports. I look forward to when it is officially autumn fishing. Remember friends…when you are out exploring our beautiful country take a moment to think about the first peoples and the lands you are exploring and be grateful for the opportunity to be able to enjoy the territory you are on.
